Atwoli Explains How Uhuru Can Become President Again After End of His Term.

Hon Atwoli and President Kenyatta at a  previous function.

The Central Organization of Trade Unions, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not be retiring completely from politics and could come back to leadership after ten years.

Speaking on Saturday, April 30, while briefing the nation on preparations for Labour Day celebrations slated for today (1st May) the trade unionist said the head of state is still young and cannot rule out any possibilities of him coming back and seeking the country's top seat in the future.

While ruling out this being Uhuru's last Labour Day celebrations at the helm of power, Atwoli said Uhuru consider coming back to seek powers again in the near future as it has reportedly happened in other countries where presidents who are still young have considered coming back to power after some years.

"I am not saying this is President Uhuru Kenyatta's last Labour Day celebrations. He can decide to be off for ten years or more then come back to seek leadership again as is happening in other countries such as Singapore, and Ghana where leaders who leave leadership when they are still young come back. We cannot rule out Uhuru's comeback in the future but we are going to thank him for standing with us for these ten years," stated Atwoli.

This comes at a time when Atwoli and President Uhuru are expected to lead the nation today (Sunday 1st May) in celebrating workers during Labour Day celebrations.

Atwoli said today's function will not be devoid of politics and that nobody should go to Uhuru park thinking of going to do politics. He said it will be all about labour day and problems facing workers and solutions to them.
