Surge in Numbers of Illiterate Legislators.

Just In: Why Kenyans Focus Should Switch To Leaders Who Have Intellectual Nous and Experience In Leading Them.

As Makau W. Mutua, a SUNY Distinguished Professor boldily stated; Kenyan electorate has sunk an all time low by installing in leadership positions, leaders that can barely and hardly read a speech.
One  wonders if these leaders have this warped logic, Can they  even write if they cannot read.
From my primitive customs;
I was made to believe that a Leader is a Reader.
Reading will automatically unlock the  tripple pillars of communication in LOGOS, ETHOS and PATHOS.

They largely deal with logic, credibility and emotions.
The lapse we have in leadership where punitive and oppressive policies have been passed in parliament is occassioned by vesting leadership positions to people not fit to hold those offices.
All they understand is to wax lyrical of their masters as they mutter some   axioms like 'Tutams', 'Wantam' or Wamuthendee.

Do you think the problem lies with the leaders?
The answer may not be in affirmative.
These leaders are simply a reflection of who we are as a Kenyan people. Therefore scathing fingers have to be pointed at voters.
Our focus during high charged campagns is never centred on keen scrutiny on the qualifications of these leaders.
We have accorded them the latitude to woo us with material items rather than scanning their ability to legislate on pertinent issues that may transform our lives.

As 2027 looms;
Kenyans should not be blinded by the scales of handouts out of the misappropriated funds that could be channeled to development projects.

Such leaders who have hold offices with no tangible track record should not even be on the ballot.
Our Nation is not short of leaders with intellectual wherewithal and experience to lead us.
Change is all we root for.

Remember;
A Leader is a reflection of people that installed them in the position.
Time for political theatrics at the hands of caricatures disguised as leaders is long overdue.

We need leaders in the model of Edwin W. Sifuna and Babu Owino who have the valorous antic of standing out for Mwananchi.

Lets choose  leaders wisely.
